TBM AUTOMATION AG develops and manufactures a high-speed control-System for the Formula 1

Recently, the TBM AUTOMATION AG has competed the first motion & drive project for a Formula 1 team. In simple terms, a high-speed control for an airflow and combustion air simulator was created. The engine test bench has been successfully in operation since August 2008. And by the way - the first optimized engine reached 2nd place
in the race right away! The application was implemented with the proven high-speed components Kollmorgen Servo Star and AKM from Danaher Motion.

Also in the racing simulation, the components found there application. For example, the British company BRD Ball Racing Developments uses Kollmorgen servo-drives
from Danaher Motion. The company creates realistic racing simulators, used by several top teams for driver training. TBM got the chance to tryout a few rounds with it at the SPS (first time in use: so better the full name, no abbreviation until second time in use)
in Nuremberg... with more than 1G acceleration in 3 dimensions!
