SINDEX 2018 – „Vision & Robotics“

Pleasing trade fair results for TBM Automation AG, Widnau

TBM Automation AG presented ‘Vision & Robotics’ at SINDEX 2018 from 28 to 30 August in Bern. The audience showed great interest in the trade fair model with an AUBO-i5 collaborative robot with a Sick PIM60 vision camera and a Schmalz ECBPi cobot pump as an end-of-arm actuator. The robot, which is very easy to programme, is based on the open robot operating system ROS (Robot Operating System). This enables the rapid integration of a wide variety of components such as cameras and sensors using ROS plugins.

The trade visitors were also amazed at the possibilities of offline robot programming and simulation with the innovative ‘AUTOMAPPPS’ software from CIT Convergent Information Technologies. The software enables a complete simulation with digital twins. The robot is not blocked by teaching work, but produces during the process.

Visitors were also interested in Kollmorgen servo drives and the services offered by TBM Automation AG, e.g. as a certified Siemens Solution Partner for Automation & Drives.

SINDEX 2018 was generally a great success. Around 13,000 visitors were able to experience the latest innovations from almost 400 exhibitors in 6 halls.
